TERMS OF SERVICE

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Scholasticus Academy website, online courses, student portal, applications, waiting lists, learning materials, communications, and related services (“Services”).

In these Terms, “Scholasticus Academy”, “we”, “us”, and “our” refer to Scholasticus Academy Ltd. “You” means any visitor, parent, guardian, applicant, learner, or person using our Services.

By accessing or using the Services, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use the Services.

Scholasticus Academy provides educational services designed to develop knowledge, self-discipline, good morals, and manners. Our educational approach includes Language and Literature, Mathematics, and the Natural and Social Sciences.

We may provide online courses, including English and History courses, as well as admissions information, applications, waiting lists, private instruction, curriculum-related services, digital learning materials, and access to a student portal.

We may update, alter, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Services where reasonably necessary for educational, operational, safeguarding, technical, legal, or maintenance reasons.

Course descriptions, dates, prices, instructors, availability, access periods, and learning outcomes may change. Unless expressly stated otherwise in writing, enrolment in a course does not guarantee admission, accreditation, a qualification, employment, or a particular academic result.

You must provide accurate and current information when contacting us, joining a waiting list, applying, registering, creating an account, or purchasing a course.

Where a learner is under the age of legal majority, a parent or legal guardian must complete or authorise the registration and supervise the learner’s use of the Services. By registering a child or allowing a child to use the Services, the parent or guardian confirms that they have the authority to do so.

We may ask for information reasonably necessary to verify a parent’s or guardian’s authority, administer enrolment, protect learners, or meet safeguarding obligations.

Certain Services may require an account or access through our student portal. You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account.

You must contact us promptly through our Contact page if you believe an account has been accessed without permission.

We may suspend, restrict, or close an account where we reasonably believe there has been unauthorised access, misuse, a breach of these Terms, a safeguarding concern, or a legal requirement.

Where we offer paid courses or programmes, the relevant course page, checkout page, invoice, enrolment agreement, or written offer will state the applicable price, payment timing, access period, and any course-specific conditions.

By submitting an order, you confirm that the information you provide is accurate and that you are authorised to use the selected payment method.

An order is accepted only when we confirm enrolment, issue an invoice or receipt, or provide access to the relevant course. We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance if there is an error in pricing or availability, payment cannot be authorised, eligibility requirements are not met, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse.

If we cancel an order after payment, we will arrange an appropriate refund for the cancelled Service.

Refunds, cancellations, deferrals, and transfers are subject to any refund policy or course-specific terms supplied at the time of purchase. Where digital content or a course begins immediately, statutory cancellation rights may be affected only where applicable law permits and the required information and consent have been provided.

You must use the Services lawfully, respectfully, and only for their intended educational purpose.

You must not:

  • interfere with, damage, disrupt, or attempt to gain unauthorised access to the website, student portal, accounts, networks, or data;
  • upload or transmit malware, harmful code, spam, or unlawful, abusive, discriminatory, threatening, defamatory, or inappropriate material;
  • impersonate another person or misrepresent your identity, authority, or affiliation;
  • share account credentials or permit unauthorised access to course materials or the student portal;
  • record, copy, distribute, sell, publish, or make course materials available to others without our written permission;
  • use the Services in a way that infringes another person’s privacy, intellectual-property rights, or other legal rights; or
  • use automated tools to scrape, harvest, copy, or extract website content or personal information without our written permission.

We may suspend or terminate access where we reasonably believe that these Terms, our safeguarding expectations, or applicable law have been breached.

All content available through the Services, including lessons, texts, worksheets, videos, course materials, designs, logos, photographs, branding, and other educational materials, is owned by or licensed to Scholasticus Academy Ltd. and is protected by intellectual-property laws.

Subject to these Terms and any applicable course-access period, we grant you a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable right to use course materials solely for your own educational purposes.

You may not reproduce, distribute, adapt, publicly display, commercially exploit, or remove ownership notices from our materials without our prior written permission, except where permitted by law.

The Services may link to, integrate with, or rely on third-party services, including payment processors, learning platforms, email providers, or embedded content providers. Those services are governed by their own terms and privacy notices.

We are not responsible for third-party websites, content, availability, security, or privacy practices.

Our handling of personal information is explained in our Privacy Policy. By using the Services, you acknowledge that we may process personal information as described in that Policy.

We work to keep the Services accurate, useful, secure, and available. However, the Services are provided on an “as available” basis.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we do not guarantee that the Services will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure, or suitable for every learner or purpose.

Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited, including liability for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

Subject to applicable law, Scholasticus Academy Ltd. will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive loss, or for loss of data, profit, revenue, goodwill, or opportunity arising from use of, or inability to use, the Services.

Where liability may lawfully be limited, our total liability relating to a paid Service will not exceed the amount paid to us for that specific Service in the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

You may stop using the Services at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to protect learners, users, our Services, or our rights; to comply with law; or where you materially breach these Terms.

Sections concerning intellectual property, privacy, disclaimers, liability, and dispute resolution will continue after termination where appropriate.

We may update these Terms from time to time. The latest version will be published on this page with a revised “Last updated” date.

Where a change is material, we will take reasonable steps to provide notice where appropriate. Continued use of the Services after updated Terms take effect means that you accept them.

These Terms are governed by the laws of Jordan. Courts located in Jordan will have jurisdiction, except where applicable consumer law gives you the right to bring a claim elsewhere.
